What You’ll Need

Glass: Cocktail glass (or any tall glass)
Ice (plenty for chilling!)
Coarse sea salt (for rimming)

Ingredients

  • 2 oz tequila (blanco or reposado)
  • 2 oz fresh grapefruit juice (plus a wedge for garnish)
  • 2 oz sparkling water (or grapefruit soda for extra flavor)
  • ½ oz fresh lime juice
  • ¼ oz agave nectar or simple syrup (adjust to taste)

Steps

1. Salt the Rim

  • Rub a grapefruit wedge around the glass rim.
  • Dip the rim into coarse sea salt to coat.

2. Mix It Up

  • In the glass, combine:
    • Tequila
    • Grapefruit juice
    • Sparkling water
    • Lime juice
    • Agave nectar

3. Chill & Serve

  • Fill the glass with ice.
  • Stir gently and taste—add more agave if you like it sweeter!
  • Garnish with a grapefruit wedge.
