The tour begins with an early morning hotel pickup. You will be driven to Tribhuvan Airport where you’ll collect your tickets and board the plane. The flight takes you alongside the Himalayan range, providing “a bird’s eye panorama” of the world’s tallest mountain chain. The flight path allows for close-up views of many snow-capped peaks, including Mount Everest, Ama Dablam, Thamserku, Kantega, Lhotse, and Nuptse. You’ll get a “front-row peek” at the spectacular scenery. After the flight, you’ll be transferred back to your hotel.
Important Notes
- Seating: The plane is small, and travelers may get the best view of Everest on either the way to or the way back, depending on which side they are sitting on. One review suggests sitting on the right-hand side for the best view.
- Weather: The flight is highly dependent on good weather conditions. If the flight is canceled due to poor weather, the traveler is responsible for covering the airport transfer charge.
- Travelers: Most travelers can participate. The tour is not wheelchair accessible, and infants must sit on laps.
